What is it?
Blue Bug device is designed to collect and document data on base stations (BS), operating in the following digital mobile network standards; GSM/UMTS/LTE. It is used to receive data on surrounding base stations parameters. Device can be used for the following purposes: search for unregistered base stations, network coverage map development, detection of virtual base stations.

Why is it unique?
- Selection of scanner’s operation range. There is possibility to make scanning of only interested range depending on the area.
- Fast scanning mode: receiving data on surrounding base stations. In this mode device receives main data on surrounding base stations.
- Base station tracking mode: in this mode device sets on the chosen base station’s frequency and receives data of BCCH channel.
- Mobile terminal emulation mode: in this mode device emulates operation of ordinary mobile device of network operator. Connection to the higher priority BS is done, its parameters are controlled. Active SIM card of mobile network operator is needed.
- Search for virtual base stations mode: in this mode device continuously controls environment and evaluates surrounding base stations reliability. When virtual base station is detected, operator will be informed. .
- GPS/GLONASS geolocation. BS monitoring block can connect GPS antennas for geolocation. After satellites are detected all information can be saved with location tags for further displaying on the map.
- Downloading scanning reports. Ability to download reports for future analysis.
